Introduction

Remaining in business in these times of increasing competition, decreasing margins, escalating overheads and ever increasing compliance issues is becoming a struggle for many an SME.

Automation of the day-to-day processes has always promissed to deliver significant cost savings and improved productivity. The corporate world, with their huge IT budgets, has been able to gain significantly through their adoption of these technologies and workplace automation. I'm sure it's not news to you that they are now actively targeting markets usually serviced by companies like yours.

Most of you have been unable to benefit from this technology due to high entry costs and the lack of dedicated IT personell. As a result you and your staff continue to struggle with inadequate systems that don't integrate and provide the barest of essentials - at best.

The Microshare project is designed to address this situation by providing you, the SME, with IT facilities currently available only to the corporate world.

Our goal is simple -
Provide you with a corporate grade, flexible, affordable and versatile Accounting and Information Management system that will run on all currently available operating system platforms. No limits, no gotchas!

We know that no 2 SME's have the same requirements yet you all need to manipulate the same basic elements of information and need to adhere to basic accounting rules. To address these issues we are developing an adaptable system that, at its core, has the invariant rules required for accounting and compliance and can still be adjusted to suite your specific individual needs.

To achieve this goal we are using our experience and the wealth of existing Open Source software to assemble the Equity Accounting system which will provide a flexible and customizable package that you will never outgrow.

Our system is being designed to utilize the best available technology in a replaceable manner.

In other words:-
No one knows what advances will be made in technology over the years ahead. Our project is designed to take advantage of new technology as it becomes stable without impacting the rest of the system.

It will provide the facilities you are currently doing without and will eventually integrate with your trading partners.
