1. Welcome

Hi, Folks,

Welcome to TRI-TABS where you can learn to play, the easy way. You now have a choice from well over 250 tabs.

The main purpose of this site is to provide ukulele players with a simple way to start learning to play fingerstyle tabs on any tuning of ukulele by only using the top three strings.

The only requirement is the ability to read tab fingering and note lengths. There are several excellent tutorials, on how to read tabs currently available on the Internet.

TRI-TABS has now opened a new section for those of you that have reached a more advanced stage. In this section we have utilized all four strings, the 4th string being low (non re-entrant). TT has named these type of tabs L4-Quad-Tabs, merely to keep them from getting mixed up with the Tri-tabs.

TT has now re-arranged most of the published tabs to make them plectrum friendly as well as fingerstyle friendly. For those of you that play piano, or prefer short nails, you can now play these tabs in either style.

TRI-TABS is a free, educational site. TT’s only request to you is that you only use these tabs for your own private, self-educational purposes, and that you do not perform them publicly, or record them on any media for publishing on the Internet.

Thank you for your patronage, and for your co-operation in keeping these tabs for private use only.

Best of luck,
TT

  2. Hi,

I’m really just a beginner (only a few months) and with the ‘Beginners’ tabs you really fills up the gap between just strumming and the, mostly very difficult, fingerpicking or chord solo arrangements. So my question, is it possible to create more ‘beginner’ tabs, which can make the transition to the difficult ones, more easily. And a second question: what software do you use for the creation of these tabs.
Thanks again for the nice job.
