Polling Day in Australia

Saturday, August 21st, 2010

Time for Australians to cast their votes.

It’s a real shame the ballot paper doesn’t have a checkbox for ‘None of the above’.

Federal Election Two-Up 2010

Tuesday, July 20th, 2010

Once again Australians are being herded to the polls to play Two-Up.

Heads it’s Labor, Tails it’s a Liberal win and Odds it’s a split parliament with a small majority one way or the other and a few Greens thrown in to make it palatable. The one thing that will not change is the overall direction that policies, acts and statutes will follow.

All Governments in Australia’s brief history have continually refined legislation that resulted in bigger government, corporate control, more austerity, fewer jobs, compliance education, more taxes and a disintegrated health care system. Anyone want fewer rights and more war?

What choice are we making in supporting this farce?
Come in Spinner.

P.S. If you still believe that politics can solve these problems and have become somewhat disenchanted with the Lib/Lab coins; then perhaps you should look at the Australian Sovereignty Party. You could always write #1 ASP on your ballot paper.

Top Secret America

Tuesday, July 20th, 2010

Washington Post reporters Dana Priest and William M. Arkin spent two years investigating the government’s response to 9/11. Top Secret America explores what they found.

Security services worldwide are being privatized. The end result: A multi-headed hydra of corporate controlled intelligence services feeding each other at our expense.

When will employees of these corporations see their part in this madness?
